Form of training

The port training courses are a balanced and carefully tailored mix of hands-on lectures and knowledge transfer, interactive workshops and assignments.
Participants will present the results of their assignments during interactive discussion sessions to the entire group under guidance of the faculty.
This format enables experience and knowledge sharing between the participants.

Participants

Registrations are open to all Class 1 and Class 2 Officials from Major Port Trusts, Private Ports and Terminals in India and from Ports/Terminals abroad. Apart from port operations, the underlying focus is also to enhance and develop skills for Business development Strategies and Marketing as well as instill behavioral changes for effective leadership in the fast-changing business environment.

Each of the participants acquires concrete skills and knowledge that they can immediately put into practice in their own working environment.

Training facilities

Training is conducted in the completely renovated and dedicated training centre in the port premises in Sheva Mumbai, India.
The training centre is equipped with modern audio-visual teaching aids. For the interactive workshops participants benefit from the dedicated breakout rooms.

Accommodation

Accommodation is arranged at the guesthouse of the training centre.
The participants wishing to arrange their accommodation themselves are free to do so.

Timing and daily program

The courses start on Monday morning and end on Friday afternoon. At the end of the seminar and after the course evaluation, participants receive a certificate of attendance.
During the week, port and terminal visits will be incorporated into the training schedule, and one evening transport will be foreseen for participants wishing to visit the vibrant city of Mumbai.

Course fees

The course fee is fixed at ₹1,00,000 (Rupees one lakh only) per participant and includes course fees, course material, airport pick-up/drop off, 5 nights twin sharing accomodation and all meals and beverages. A single accomodation for 5 nights mounts to an additional cost of ₹ 20,000 (Rupees one lakh only)

Single rooms are subject to availability and will be reversed on first come, first serve basis.
