Working in ports involves unique hazards, from heavy machinery to high-risk cargo handling. A strong HSSQ program is essential to address these challenges and safeguard workers’ health and security. This course equips participants with the tools and insights to implement effective risk management and high HSSQ standards.

This 5-day course provides a comprehensive overview of Health, Safety, Security and Quality (HSSQ) principles tailored to port operations. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical exercises and interactive workshops. It consists of lectures by Indian/Belgian private companies and complemented by international best practices.

Designed for all professionals directly or indirectly involved in HSSQ within the port sector, this course is suited for staff and managers in port authorities, logistics companies and other public and private entities connected to port operations.

The course features interactive presentations, case studies and hands-on workshops, where participants can exchange with each other and share experiences.

1) Health & Safety

– Essentials of maritime health and safety practices
– Introduction to ISO 45001 and its application in port environments

2) Security 

– Introduction to the ISPS-code
– Key aspects of cybersecurity in port environments

The course fee covers course material, airport pick-up / drop off, accommodation
( 5 nights in a twin sharing room) and all meals and beverages ( no GST included)

A single room can be provided at an additional cost of Rs 20 000 and is subject to availability

Please note that the registration fee must be received by JNPT-APEC in full; meaning all national and international taxes, bank costs etc. need to be covered by the participant.
Kindly take this into account when completing the transfer, as a deficit in the amount received by JNPT-APEC will mean admission to the course will be denied.
